Directions to a Better Tomorrow

Find Cheerful Heart

    • The nearest train station is North White Plains (on the Harlem Line), about a 3-minute walk away.

    • The nearest bus stop is N Broadway @Glenn St, about a 2-minute walk from the address.

    • Start on the appropriate artery out of the city (for example via the Harlem River Drive / FDR Drive north, or via the Bronx via the Major Deegan / or Willis Avenue Bridge / 149th Street, etc.).

    • Merge onto the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87 northbound/ ronx)

    • Continue north, and follow signs toward White Plains/I-287 east/Cross Westchester Expressway, depending on your route.

    • Take I-287 East (or your preferred route toward White Plains)

    • Take exit toward White Plains/North Broadway (or local exit closest to Glenn Street)

    • Use local roads (e.g. North Broadway) to approach Glenn Street.

    • Turn onto Glenn Street to reach 30 Glenn St.

     

    Because traffic patterns vary, you might prefer using GPS (e.g. Google Maps / Waze) to get the best/fastest route at the time of travel.

  • Depending on your starting point in Westchester, you'll
    use local roads, highways (e.g. I-287, Saw Mill River
    Parkway, Bronx River Parkway, local arterial roads), and
    then navigate into White Plains:

     

    • Navigate to a major connector (e.g. I-287, Saw Mill, Sprain Brook, Bronx River Parkway) heading toward White Plains or Central Westchester.

    • Exit toward White Plains / North Broadway (or local exit closest to Glenn Street).

    • Use local roads to get to N Broadway and then turn onto Glenn Street.

    • Take the Metro-North Harlem Line from Grand Central Terminal toward Wassaic/intermediate stops that include North White Plains.

    • Disembark at North White Plains station (closest to 30 Glenn St)

    • Walk approximately 3 minutes to 30 Glenn Street from that station. The building is directly across from the station. You can be buzzed in from the intercom from the back of the building. Parking is free after 4pm.

    • If you're in a location along the Harlem Line (e.g. Yonkers, Tarrytown, etc.), catch the Harlem Line toward Grand Central/White Plains direction (depending on your origin) and get off at North White Plains.

    • Then walk ~3 minutes to your destination. The building is directly across from the station. You can be buzzed in from the intercom from the back of the building. Parking is free after 4pm.

    • If your origin is not directly on the Harlem Line, you might first take a connecting bus or local train to reach a Harlem Line stop, then follow the route above.

    • One viable route: Take a Bee-Line express/MTA/intercity bus heading toward White Plains.

    • Once in White Plains, transfer to a local Bee-Line bus that stops at N Broadway @ Glenn St.

    • The stop N Broadway @ Glenn St is about a 2-minute walk from your address. 

     

    For example, FlixBus operates a bus from White Plains Bus Station to NYC Midtown (the reverse direction is available) in about 1 hour. 

    • Use the Bee-Line Bus System (Westchester’s local bus network) to navigate toward White Plains (many routes converge there)

    • Transfer (if needed) to a bus line that stops at N Broadway @ Glenn St.

    • Walk ~2 minutes to the address on Glenn St.
