Do you love God and want a Godly partnership, but dating leaves you anxious, guarded, or emotionally exhausted? Maybe you overthink every text, fear rejection, feel triggered by inconsistency, or wonder if you’re “too much” or “not enough.” If dating has started to feel overwhelming and stressful instead of a pathway to connection, you are not alone, and you don’t have to just “pray harder” and "put yourself out there" more.
This EMDR-based group is designed for single Christian women who want to date from a place of peace, clarity, and confidence. Using the GREP2 (Group Resource Enhancement Protocol) and GTEP (Group Traumatic Episode Protocol), we will target the triggers and emotional roots of dating anxiety, such as having experienced past heartbreak, ghosting, rejection, betrayal, church hurt, purity shame, and other experiences that taught you dating is hard and scary. You’ll learn to recognize triggers, calm your nerves, and respond to dating situations with wisdom and control instead of panic.
In this group, you can expect:
Faith-honoring, trauma-informed EMDR group work (GREP2 + GTEP)
Tools to reduce spiraling thoughts, anxiety, and avoidance
Support for boundaries, discernment, and self-trust in dating
A compassionate space to process setbacks without shame
Grounding practices you can use before/after dates and tough conversations
This group may be a good fit if you:
Feel anxious about being seen, chosen, or rejected
Notice shutdown, people-pleasing, or over-thinking while dating
Struggle to trust yourself or God in the waiting
Tired of talking about the woes of dating and just want to feel more confident and grounded.
No “performance” or venting required! Come as you are. This is a space to heal, build emotional resilience, and move toward healthy connection with a steadier heart.
